  1. You are coming from my past. My history of failures. You are a voice of caution but I can’t let you keep me from trying. I will listen and understand where you are coming from but I need to move on. You will be with me when I fail and when I triumph. When I falter and when I try again.

    • Hello, voice of doubt.

Have you ever watched Doctor Who?

Doctor Who is much beloved for many reasons. Not just because he’s a cool geek. But because he is a man made anew, many times over. Because he regenerates.

The thing about regeneration is this. We accept we were these past men, that we did these things, and we lived and experienced these situations, and we were these people, and then, we’re not anymore. And we change and it’s okay.

“Matt, who has played the Doctor for four years, made an emotional farewell moving millions of fans to tears as his Time Lord character regenerated with the words: ‘I will always remember when the Doctor was me’.

I find this so true for us all, least of all me. At least that’s where I find myself… anyway. I’m not sure how this is relevant when I read your words for you, it’s just what came to my mind, my thoughts.

So much self reflection, so much self change, breaking, renewal, regeneration.

      Much love.
